We do mostly sheet-fed printing,
so most of our jobs are 5,000 copies and up. We prefer multi-page
work which also requires binding like saddle stitched, wire-o
bound, perfect bound, smythe sewn, and hard bound. |

Here is our typical schedule.
1 - 2 weeks - 1st press proofs
1 - 2 weeks - 2nd press proofs
1 - 3 weeks - Printing, binding, packing (to vary depending
on extent and quantity)
9 - 12 days - Ocean shipment to West Coast port
3 - 5 days - Customs clearance and delivery to final destinations.
Deliveries to Mid-West or East Coast need 7more days.
3-5 advance copies will be shipped via DHL to your address
before shipment.
We can arrange ocean freight, customs clearance and even door-to-door
delivery for your convenience. Simply let us know what kind
of delivery you want. |

Is there any
problem with availability of paper? |
|
|
|
Not at all! If you've printed
in other countries, you know this is not always the case.
In Korea there are many excellent world-class paper mills
that export paper to most Asian countries and to the States.
We have samples to help you choose paper stock. It's really
no different than dealing with a domestic printer.

How do I supply
Doosan with artworks? |
|
|
|
Any way you wish. Supply your
artwork (in the form of original illustrations, prints, photos,
slides, transparencies or on disk), your text on disk, and
any applicable FPO's. We'll then do color separations for
your project. If you would like to save prepress time, you
can send us disks or CD's with high resolution scans that
are ready to output to film. We usually work from Macintosh
format using the following software applications: QuarkXpress,
PageMaker, Illustrator, FreeHand, PhotoShop.

How do I ship
information to Korea? |
|
|
|
Use any one of the standard international
carriers ? DHL Express, FedEx, Airborne Express, and UPS deliver
throughout Korea. It's that simple - call your carrier, and
within an average of two-to-three days the package will arrive
at our plant. |

How do you proof? |
|
|
|
Both the films & plates from
CTP system are press-proofed on the equivalent stock that
the finished job will be printed on. So, you know exactly
what you are getting. You can indicate color changes, if necessary.

How can I ensure
printing quality? |
|
|
|
You can indicate color changes
after receipt of 1st proofs, if necessary.
No final printing is done until you approve it. Once you approve
your project for printing, you can depend on our Quality Control
people to constantly monitor your job. |
